The walk back in to town from Huddersfield’s Stadium is a short one and home supporters will have made it in poor humour last night.
Sometimes a couple of debatable refereeing decisions can give you something to hang on to when the rather more sober truth is that your team have just let you down a little bit.
Referee Kevin Friend was booed off here and the reason was simple. He did not give Huddersfield a penalty late on when Steve Mounie fell under a challenge from Joel Matip and then, soon after, he did give one after Philip Billing climbed all over Emre Can.
The thing is, though, that both decisions were correct. The first was not a foul and the second one was.
