Jogger Pushes Woman In Front of Bus

British police released video of a jogger pushing a woman from a sidewalk into the path of an oncoming bus (above). The footage, which was released Tuesday, shows an incident that took place on the Putney Bridge in southwest London on Friday, May 5.

The footage shows the jogger and the woman about to pass each other, but just as they are about to pass, the jogger shoves the woman toward the road and into the path of an oncoming bus. The jogger keeps running as the woman’s upper body dangles in front of the bus. The driver was able to swerve at the last second, narrowly missing her.
Police released the footage in hopes of finding the jogger.
“The victim was put in extreme danger when she was knocked into the road,” said Sergeant Mat Knowles, the investigating officer from Putney Safter Safer Neighbourhood Team. “It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle.”
Police said the bus stopped after the woman fell, and passengers rushed to help her. About 15 minutes later, the jogger came back. The woman tried to speak to him, but he ignored her and kept running, according to police.
Luckily, the woman suffered only minor injuries, according to the Washington Post.
Police released the footage in hopes of finding the jogger.
“We are keen to speak with the jogger in the CCTV about what happened that morning,” said Knowles. “We would urge him or anyone who recognizes him to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
Police have described the jogger as a man in his early-to-mid-30’s with brown eyes and short brown hair.
Anyone who may have any information about the jogger’s identity is asked to call the Putney Safer Neighborhood Team at 020-8785-8874.
